Success is not winning souls success is going fishing for souls and leaving the rest up to God!

Matthew 6:14-15

For if he forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses neither will your heavenly father forgive your tresspasses
The hardest thing to do when someone has wronged you is to be the first to apologize pride is the number one cause of most problems if we could just realize we are not doing it for ourself but a loving God that is worth it all we never will be able to gain fruit if we are rotten in our attitudes toward others

Family time great memories

We had a good time last night celebrating our 37th anniversary what a wonderful thing to be married approved by God.my son Caleb and his friend joined us on great fellowship.

Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed , because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Daily prayer for your child

Dearest heavenly Father
I ask today to lead my child from temptation. It amazes me when i read Isa 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, [even] my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isa 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.
And i dare to think something is too hard for thee forgive me for little faith.it amazes me on how i can read about paul moses l
joseph ruth and many others in your word and feel like i know them i thank you God for the letters paul wrote for the churches thank you for the prayers you let us read from David as i write this letter to you this morn many might think it strange but i dont write it for the ones that do not know you but for the ones that do to help them in a prayer that i would send up to you this morning knowing you care i thank you for the modern technology that i can use to help others my words are not inspired ,but your words are and i know you are so wonderful loving most powerful God there is many can not understand how you can know someone you never seen a blind man has more faith than that.we that serve the same daddy can share a life without ever meeting in person just as paul david and many have in your word.if we have the same Heavenly pa pa then we are sisters and brothers our heart is such a wonderful thing that shows us how you love us
i ask this morning that you will bind satan and his demons against my child that you promised if i brought him up for you he will not depart from a child he has known the holy scriptures that you promised would make him wise thank you for your promise to take care of your child tahat you have entrusted to me.i love you in Jesus name amen

Pray first then listen....

Paul’s command in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing,”
Father in heaven what an example we read about Daniel who knew the window was open but still got on his knees and prayed. as today goes by I ask for my child to not be led in temptation but deliver from evil, while away in school or work and at play. When my child is back in my care I ask for wisdom and your direction to train my child and love him the way you would have me love him.Let my child have the boldness to pray and not be ashamed if Daniel prayed to himself and not got on his knees we would never know of the faithfulness and protection when Daniel was thrown in the lions den let us fight a good fight and bring back prayer in public schools and bring forth more Daniels that are not ashamed. It wasnt a moment of silence Jesus did on the mountain but in agony sweated blood and prayed not my will but thine, many times we have to pour our heart out to God and then listen in order to listen first we must pray.

With God all things are possible because of this we can pray for our child

Jeremiah 32:27
King James Version (KJV)

27Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Father in heaven i know the answer to this many times i become weary on praying i feel like Moses my arms get heavy and as my arms are not held up the enemy is moving in you told us not to be weary in well doing we are in battle we must fight a good fight so our enemy that is so full of lies and deceit tricks will not have control of our life i was praying hard and long for my child until one day i had a man that discouraged me from praying he thought i spent to much time with you then the battle was lost the enemy got a strong hold over my child but today i know you are more than able to do above and beyond according to your will to command the enemy to keep his hands off your child that belongs to you.Keep me stong in the faith let me fight a good fight let not the cares of the world like computers sewing shopping or any other worldly pleasure question you to say lovest these more than me?
the enemy is seeking whom he may devour let it not be my children that you entrusted to me keep my arms up that i will continue to fight as i know you were given me the child to train for you for the sakes of the next generation you have a reputation of answering prayers and meeting needs i ask that the needs of my child to be free from the chains of the enemy and to be removed.thank you for hearing my prayer and the work that you are about to do as i look back at this blog as a reminder of how great and powerful of a God i serve. In Jesus name Amen

A prayer for your child because prayer works!

Jeremiah 24:7 I will give them a heart to know that I am the LORD; and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

Father in Heaven how i long to have a relationship with you give me a thirst for you that you will quench I have not seen the dividing of the red sea or the ten plagues or Peter walk on water but i have seen you answer many prayers that man can not do i have witnessed a young man being prayed over as the evil spirits were commanded to leave this young man alone, Many may think this may seem spooky but so is salvation to them.
i have watched a young woman get better as she was prayed over but the greatest thing i have witnessed is watching one bow their head and accept Christ.Knowing how wonderful and powerful as you are i again come to you to ask according to your will that my child or children will have a heart to know you and they shall be your people and you will be their God as they return to you with their whole hear that they will put away the childish ways and the foolishness of their youth and love and fear you all the days of their life.Thank you for what you have done and what you will do in Jesus name Amen.

Prayer for your child

Jer.17:7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Father in heaven you showed us your mighty power with the storm we had yesterday some of us as we looked up at the moon and thought about the storm irene there is some mothers and fathers and loved ones that lost their child my prayers go up for the ones that are hurting.there also was the parents that suffered from rebellious children my prayers also go up for those but my main prayer is this morning is to ask you to show your power to keep back the enemy from getting the children that the enemy has in his plans that you will destroy his plans and let the life of my child be prosperous to defeat the enemy.I Love you and thank you for what you have done and about to do that all men will know you are who you said you are in Jesus name Amen

a Prayer of hope for your child

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Father in heaven a child speaks, understands, and thinks different than a man I ask as my young child is growing you would give him the wisdom to be the man you would have him to be.Let him seek you early that you will be found in his life.Bring only the person you choose for him to marry let him not make the choice as he seeks the one to make his life complete.Let it be as the young adults have made the wrong choice and its too late for your plan a let your plan b bring the young adult to repentance to serve you and love you with all his heart all the days of his life.I Thank you for what you have done and what you will do.as i ask according to your will, nothing is impossible with you.in Jesus name amen

A prayer for the rebellous one Discpline starts in the high chair not the electric chair

Dear Heavenly Father
You love my child more than anyone could love him people that have not experienced the rebellion of a child has no idea the pain and sorrow it causes and the joy it robs the heart.I know through your word sin is reaped because of our fathers and fore fathers. The only way to break this chain of rebellion is through prayer and maybe even fasting if i take your word for salvation how foolish it would be not to take your council for training the child that belongs to you that you entrusted me with to train for your honor and glory. The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.In this rebellous generation of cell phones, computers,tv,newspapers, magazines, books, schools its much harder to train my child especially when the authorities call the beatings of the rod is abuse where as you taught us to correct a child would give us rest and the beating will drive the foolishness out of the childs heart as well as keep his soul out of hell a child left to himself will bring a mother shame
.Most churches today do not have the boldness to teach the truth.I Know if i was to open my recipe book and it told me to beat the ingredients in order for the recipe to be a success i would follow instructions but yet when it comes to your instruction book the kjv 1611 the true word that could not and can not be destoyed the most powerful book in the world our fore fathers gave their life for people don`t want to follow.I ask for your wisdom as I open up your word that i will follow the truth that one day I may look back at this prayer and be reminded you are my God that keeps his promises a God that cannot lie.So today i place in your hands my child and i surrender my will for training and wisdom to your will and wisdom.i thank you for what you have done in my childs life and what you will do in the future.in Jesus name amen

A prayer for the prodigal son

Heaveny Father
Today I place in your hands my prodigal son or daughter.2 Sam.19:4

But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!So many tears in a bottle that you hold precioous in your hands in heaven you collected them all my heart goes out to the parents that know such pain, the words that no parent wants to hear I ask this morning that you take the heart of my prodigal son or daughter and turn it around to seek you and fear you and love you for the sakes of the next generation.Your hands are not shortened the hands that formed the mountains the hands that hold the sea the eyes that sees all there is nothing too hard for thee.I love you Heavenly Father show your strengh and power through my son or daughter of proof you are who you said you are.in Jesus name Amen!

If I was the devil and I wanted to stop someone from serving God first would be their health if that didn't work their marriage if that didn't work then their children if that didn't work at least the parents would look bad to the world and there would be the children to start all over again
Don't judge others you wouldn't want to be judged

A mothers prayer

My mothers prayers oh my sweet mothers prayers.did ever a boy have such a mother as I had for twenty five years i have not heard her pray till tonight i have heard all her prayers over again. This is a testimony of a man who came to Christ during 1857-59 prayer meeting revival years after his mothers death.
Jesus said suffer the little children to come unto me.I pray that my child will be given over to you Christ i have done all that i can do and nothing seems to work but i know only you Jesus can take my child in your arms and help him like no other can do,you said where there are two or more gathered together in my name there I am in the midst of them,I know there are others that are gathered together too.I bring this child to you. There is a spiritual warfare going on with my child and the devil can`t have him because this child belongs to you Jesus. In Jesus name Amen!
If churches would realize how important it is to call together a prayer meeting when a child is in trouble even fast we would turn america around for the next generation.Churches will call for prayer when someone gets sick and they ought to but what is more important is a child that is in trouble.

A Prayer for your child.....

I Pray for grace to praise you Heavenly Father every day. You more than deserve it,help me to say like David I will extol the Lord at all times his praise will always be on my lips.Your hand is not shortened at all that it can not redeem or have no power that you can redeem or no power to deliver.there is nothing too hard for you.I Believe you have called my child from the womb the same God that formed my child from the womb to be a servant.Father in heaven you have a reputation of answering my prayers always if I called you told me you would answer if according to your will for the sakes of your reputation I ask for my children to serve you all the days of their life if they backslide you are married to the backslider a God that can not lie show me in their life you hear my prayer to bring my child to repentance to a servant in which they are called according to your mercy thank you for the work you have done and the work you are about to do in Jesus name Amen

Daily prayer for your child

Pray for our children
posted 16 hours ago by Diane Price Many times when a person gets saved we help them with the sinners prayer ,so I decided to post a daily prayer to help parents that want to pray daily for their child.

Father in heaven teach me today to be the parent you would have me to be that i will have no greater joy let me not leave my child alone that will cause shame let me praise when needed let me chastise when needed let me correct when needed let me lead when needed.and most of all through your love let me love that my child will see you through me when my child wants to do right in his own eyes let the child surrender his will to yours you promised if i train my child in the way they should go that when they are old they won`t depart for the sakes of our next generation and the sakes of our country let your people not the infidels but your people come to you and pray and seek your face and humble themselves and call upon your name then you promised you would hear and turn this nation around.I ask for the sakes of our counry that you will do a work in my child today that will effect the future of our country that will cause your people to love you and fear you and that the hedge you put around this nation will stay and I ask that you would assign to my child an angel to keep my child safe, and the the Holy Spirit lead in my childs life.In Jesus name as I claim the blood of Jesus I ask you to let my child be free from the possession of the demons.Amen

Prayer works!

Its almost time for school to reopen the most critical time for parents that are rearing children, during summer vacation we can keep our eyes on our children but when school starts up all we can do is cover them in prayer. We think because they attend a Christian school they should be fine which is not always the case.God entrusted the children to us not to the schools the school and the churches are only there as a helper. Its our obligation to pray, pry, and protect.

Childrearing

written by Jack Hyles

Chapter Two

The Importance of Self-Control

In the previous chapter we found that the developing of the proper
character is the supreme part of rearing a child. Now the most important
part of developing the right character is the developing of self-control.
Self-control is the will conquering attention. It is the appetite being
satisfied only when the will allows. It is the will conquering the appetite
rather than the appetite conquering the will.

When children are infants we often place things over their cribs such as
little birds that move abut with slightest wind. The child's attention is
captured by these little birds. His will is a slave to his attention. He
does not decide at what he will look. He looks at that thing which is most
attractive to him. In other words, he is affected by an external stimulus.
Self-control comes when the will takes over and decides what a person does.
His actions are decided by his will rather than by the appeal to the
senses. Unless self- control is developed a person will decide to do in
life whatever is most attractive and most pleasant. This, of course, leads
to shipwreck.

A person walks down the street and smells popcorn. He cannot resist. His
appetite decides what he eats. The attractiveness of the popcorn on the
outside has made his decision for him. The disciplined person eats popcorn
only when he needs it. His will controls his appetite. He decides what he
looks at; he decides what he eats; he decides where he goes; he has control
of himself. He is not a slave to appetites, pleasures, and passions.

How can one train a child to exercise such self-control? This is done by
developing something on the inside that becomes more attractive than that
which is on the outside. Then more pleasure is gotten inwardly by
resistance than outwardly by yielding. For example, my son, David, is an
athlete. During basketball season he does not drink carbonated drinks nor
eat pastry. This is not to say that chocolate pie is not attractive. Quite
to the contrary, it is most attractive, but there is something on the
inside that is more attractive - the satisfaction of making the team, of
being in good condition, and of pleasing the coach! Hence, the inward
pleasure has overcome the competitive attractiveness of external pleasure.
He has developed self-control. His will decides whether or not he eats
chocolate pie. Hence, in this matter he is in control of himself. He is not
a beast; he is a man. He derives more pleasure inwardly by not eating the
chocolate pie than he would derive outwardly by eating it.

As the parent develops such self-control within the child he must make the
inward attractiveness so great that it is worth the hurt of being deprived
the satisfying of the appetite. The pleasure of self-control must be
greater than the pleasure of indulgence. If this can be done, the person is
in control of his body rather than a slave to it.

One must then seek to find these things that can be more appealing. One is
that of a goal. Lead the child to have in his mind the pleasure of
attaining a certain goal. Teach him to let nothing stop him in attaining
this desired end. For example, suppose a boy is saving to by a new bicycle.
The wise parent will remind him over and over again of the desired goal so
that no immediate appetite can rise up and capture some of his money. He
continues to save toward this end even when the county fair comes to town.
The boy looks at the county fair. He finds it so appealing to the outside
that it competes with the inner desire to save for a bicycle. If he is
trained properly, he will not sacrifice the reaching of the desired goal
for a brief pleasure. The child should be led to have in his mind the
pleasure of attaining a goal, and this internal satisfaction should be
greater to him than the appeal from the sight of the bright lights, the
smell of good food, etc. of the county fair.

Another internal competition is that of punishment. Punishment for
wrong-doing is a necessary and vital part of rearing a child and developing
his character. The punishment should always hurt more than the pleasure
feels good. For example, a young man stays out thirty minutes late with his
girlfriend and all he gets is a scolding or a spanking. Now what young man
wouldn't be willing to trade a spanking for thirty minutes with a lovely
girl! The wise parent will take the car away from the boy, ground him, and
not let him be with his girlfriend for one week, Hence, he is trading an
entire week for thirty minutes. This is not a good trade and he will be on
time henceforth, for the punishment has brought more displeasure than the
offense brought pleasure. In the mind of the boy that particular appetite
will always have associated with it the punishment that was inflicted.

It might be wise for the parent to list the different appetites from which
he wants his child to refrain. He then should make very plain to the child
what the punishment is so the child will know whether or not refraining
will be worth it.

Good or evil?

This is a blessing I found this just now i was looking for the verse when ever I try to do good evil is present with me.As you know yesterday I was thinking about this message and now this came up searching for a verse.God has always found a way to help me when under distress!
GOOD AND EVIL

by Pastor Jack Hyles

(Chapter 16 from Dr. Hyle's excellent book, Justice)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The elder unto the well-beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers; which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on thy journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well." III John 1, 5, 6

"I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, whom loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. Demetrius hath good report of all men...." III John 9-12

There are several words which are used for sin in the Greek, but not one of them is ever translated as "evil." Likewise, the words for evil are never translated "sin." It is very plain that the words "sin" and "evil" are not the same. Evil and sin are not Synonymous! Evil is always sin, but sin is not always evil.

"Sin" is "missing the mark." "Evil" is a sin which injures another person. Losing one's temper is sin. Taking a drink of liquor is sin. Committing an immoral act is sin. However, selling or making liquor is evil. Gossip or slander is evil. Distributing pornography is evil. Evil is the sin of bringing harm to others when you sin.

Evil is a conspiratorial type of sin. It is usually an alliance of people trying to injure someone, or a conspiracy to bring harm to an individual.

Psalm 51 deals with David's confession of his sin against Bathsheba and against Uriah, her husband. In Psalm 51:4a he says, "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned." David was referring to his act of adultery with Bathsheba. David goes on to say, '... and done this evil in thy sight." The evil David confesses is his conspiracy to have Uriah killed. David's sin was his passionate act of adultery with Bathsheba. His evil was his planned act of having Uriah killed. It was worse for David to conspire to kill Uriah than it was for him to fall into adultery. Both were terrible sins, but the evil was the most wicked offense.

Evil is the worst of sins.

Thirty-four times in the Bible you will find the words, "good" and "evil," mentioned side by side. Every time they are mentioned together, the word, "good," has a beneficiary. It is speaking of doing good to someone. It does not mean being a good person but doing good deeds, such as feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, encouraging the discouraged, or winning the lost. It is used in these cases as an act of benevolence toward someone.

In this chapter I am going to give you seven truths concerning this matter of evil and good.

1. Evil is worse than other sin. Even if a person deserves to be hurt, we are never justified in hurting him. Vengeance belongs to God, not to man. When you try to hurt someone, that is evil and is the worst type of sin. Gossip is worse than cursing because it has the intent of injuring someone. We have our own sets of standards by which we define right and wrong, but God has a different set of standards. God does not want us plotting or conspiring to hurt or injure anyone. That is the worst type of sin, and God calls it evil.

We are not to treat people who sin in the same way we treat people who do evil. I often preach about salvaging people who have gone into the depths of such sin as alcoholism, drug addiction, fornication or adultery. Jesus was a friend to people like these, but He was not a friend of evil people. He was a friend of sinners, but in no place in God's Word do we find Him associating with evil people. In fact, He rebuked them. He spoke very harshly to the scribes and Pharisees because they were evil and conspired to hurt others. It is evil to conspire to hurt anyone. So bad are those who do evil that we are to avoid them totally. Romans 16:17, "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."

There are three men mentioned in III John. Gaius and Demetrius were good men, but Diotrephes was an evil man. John said that Diotrephes "prated" against him which means "to bring false accusations." Even the beloved John had someone in the church who was maliciously accusing him. Every church has its good men like Gaius and Demetrius, but every church also has evil men like Diotrephes who try to destroy others with their evil and malicious words and works.

John, under the authority of the Holy Spirit, instructed the rest of the people as to how they were to respond. "Beloved, follow not that which is evil." (III John ha) Diotrephes was evil because he was the one who was falsely accusing the others. He was trying to injure other Christians. John warned them not to follow him.

Do not follow accusers! You are much safer following the accused than you are following the accusers. We are never to follow the accusers. We are to avoid them entirely. In fact, we are to mark them and avoid them.

So, whom are we to follow? The Bible tells us to follow those who are doing good to others. Often, those are the ones who are being attacked. You are not to follow those you like the most. You are to follow those who are living their lives doing things that are beneficial to others. Follow people like Gaius and Demetrius, not those who maliciously accuse people, as did Diotrephes.

2. Evil comes because of good. The most criticized people in the world are people who are doing something. Our media is dedicated to the tearing down of individuals who seem to be having a positive influence on the lives of others. Show me a church busy reaching the lost and fallen, and I will show you scandals. Evil people plot against those who are doing the most good. Romans 7:21 says, "I find then a law, that, when I would do good; evil is present with me."

Evil always follows good — not just being good, but the actions of doing good. The connection is always there. Evil comes because of good and is an organized plot to stop it. The Devil is behind it all. He does not want people to be helped. The prophet Jeremiah bemoaned the fact that even though he gave himself to the doing of good, evil was recompensed to him. Jeremiah 18:20a, "Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul."

Many evil people do not realize that it is the Devil who is inspiring them. They naively are being used to attack good works. The Devil is much more vicious toward doing good than he is toward being good. Why? Being good affects only you. Doing good affects many others. That is why soul-winning churches are under such vicious attack, but "deeper life" churches are not. They are not getting anyone out of Hell. They are just sitting there being good. They don't run buses or have Sunday school campaigns. Evil does not attack the "be-gooders." It attacks the "do-gooders."

3. Good is what overcomes evil. Good is both the cause and the cure for evil. Evildoers attack those who are doing good, yet the greatest weapon against evil is more good. Romans 12:21, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

If someone conspires to do evil against you, you are commanded by God's Word to overcome it with good. You can have victory over evil only by doing more good. Do not attack the evil. Do not organize a warfare against the evildoer. If you do, you have joined them in their sin. I Peter 3:8, 9a, "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous; not rendering evil for evil." I Thessalonians 5:l5a, "See that none render evil for evil unto any man."

The Devil is trying to destroy you. Evil men cannot destroy you unless they can cause you to begin doing the same thing they are doing. Do not render evil for evil, hurt for hurt, or conspiracy for conspiracy! Keep on doing good. Keep on helping the needy and reaching the lost. That is the only way to conquer evil.

4. More good causes more evil. The more good you do the more evil will come. Do not be surprised when people try to destroy you. Evil will come to those who are doing good, and more evil will come to those who overcome evil with more good.

5. Doing good will always overcome evil, but evil cannot overcome doing good.

6. Evil can be the motivation for doing good. Evildoers force us to do more good just so we can continue to overcome them. The more people have attacked First Baptist Church the greater the work of reaching the lost has become. We have done more good because of the evildoers. That is Biblical. It is warfare! When one side escalates its efforts, the other side automatically escalates its efforts. God always means for His people to turn evil into good. That is exactly what Joseph did. Genesis 50:19, 20, "And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good; to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."

7. Evil can make you or break you; it is up to you. Evil can be the best thing that ever happened to you, or it can cause you to self destruct. It is up to you. Evil people can destroy you or help you. They can lead you to greater good or to evil, destroying the good you are doing. I Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation take you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

God will never allow you to be tested more than you are able to bear. I am able to bear the evil that is against me because God enables me. I may choose not to bear it, but I am able. God never allows more evil to come to you than you can bear. God will not allow evildoers to hurt you more than you can take.

How can you bear the evil that comes from doing good? Go out and do more good. Do not cry or seek for pity. You don't overcome evil with sympathy or pity. You overcome evil with good! Do not resort to evil to overcome evil because it will never work, and you will become evil in the process. You will hurt only yourself. Overcome evil with good.

Good causes evil. Good overcomes evil which causes more evil which causes more good. The more good you do, the more evil will attack you. The measure of good most of us do will in large measure be a result of the evil that is done to us.

This is the same sermon I mentioned yesterday!Wow!

What is the name of this plant?

Sin or evil ?

Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil:
I was reading the bible and came across this verse,It reminds me of a sermon I Heard sin or evil? Evil is when you do wrong intending to hurt others and sin is when we do wrong.
The Lords prayer the best example
The Lord's Prayer

Matthew, Chapter 6, verses 9 through 13 (KJV).

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Amen.
It doesn`t mention sin but evil!

Respond to God, not your circumstances – When faced with a painful or difficult circumstance, ask God,
“How do you want me to respond to this?” Keep your eyes open to the “Why me” traps that lie about your circumstances. (author unknown)

"...Were it not better for us to return to Egypt?" Numbers 14:3)
After 40 years of slavery why?Ithink alot of times its from not being thankful for what God has given us.
I wonder if the danger of facebook causes people to get involved with their old friends! If God frees us from sin why would we want to go back?
Facebook would not be bad if it doesnt take your time away from God or if it does not cause you to speak evil of your brother or have the worldly communication and listening to their problems they bring on their selves!
Remember Lots wife! After salvation to reunite with old friends would be like a trip back to Egypt.I would not want to sit at a table and have a meal with them so why communicate with people of the past unless its something we first pray about and getting out the gospel.

Paul tells Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, ...

Get out of the boat !

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
EPH.:3:20
Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you. ... Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given
to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

Good message last night especially right now as our church is praying for a building in biddeford or saco maine in which Saco probably be better It needs to have a large parking lot and handicap access.Maine might be a cold state but God has people that their souls are on fire to reach the area for Christ. We are not asking amiss so I Know its a matter of time for Anchor Baptist Church and accademy will be the largest Baptist church in the area.
we are ready to step out of the boat!God has no respect of persons or(churches)
Matthew 14:22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Church growth

I watch some churches get smaller and smaller I think for lack of faith if a church takes out pews instead of adding them its like telling God I dont believe the church can grow before I had a child I prepared a nursery for the baby.I don`t understand how churches can`t leave in the pews and decide to pray down Gods power He told us to go bring them in as we sit and do nothing.Gods arm is not shortened our arm has shortened. we rope off half the church to please our self instead of letting people sit where they want who`s church is it? Who is running it?We meet in small rooms for soulwinning nights instead of believing God and using the largest room available the red sea did not get divided until they had faith to step in to the water.we need to make soulwinning night the most exciting night of all.We need to meet all together and praise God for the work He has done after soulwinning night just as people will stay late on Sunday nights after church or show up in large crowds for banquits and prayer breakfast.Someone gets saved that night we need to ring a bell.We all hurry down to the hospital nurserys when a baby is born but yet when a person gets saved from soulwinning night God gets no glory or praise and we wonder why our churches are not growing we need to get excited about Gods church nursery of new souls!
The worse thing that ever happened to me out soulwinning was I did not bring a pen to write down the three souls that got saved on the street I have no way of following them up.I was not prepared I Pulled the fish in but let it get away!

Trust in the Lord....

Psalm 26

1Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

God is our Judge!

Psalm 26

1Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

Psalm 12
1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth;
for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbor:
with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips,
and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 who have said, With our tongue will we prevail;
our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Anytime we think we are somebody bigger without God our creater shows us how small we really are.Only by God`s grace we are who we are without Him we can do nothing!
I Hear the saying all the time that Christians get hurt the most by other Christians thats like saying children fight more with each other than friends.

My God is so good my God is so great

Psalm 26 1Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide. 2Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. 3For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. 4I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. 5I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. 6I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD: 7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. 8LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. 9Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: 10In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. 11But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. 12My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart...

Job 42:10 King James Bible
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. There are several people in the Bible who suffered from distress but Job is the one who comes to mind more. What a wonderful testimony to know the accuser could not prove Job wrong. The fact that Job prayed for his friends which was the answer for Job to get relief from his depression.
My son called last week asking me to pray for a family that just lost their Pastor to suicide so many times we think we know how others feel but the truth is God looks at the inner man looks at the outer.

We had a wonderful time out soulwinning Thursday I was not sure where I was supposed to be my Grandaughter graduated from kindergarten and Caleb was involved on his closing program for school,so after praying and fasting I was heading out for soulwinning thinking it might be in vain the season has been slow for soulwinning also thinking Caleb will be a senior next year and probably after attending college in which I thought would be an example of not having anyone to go out with on Thursday and the negative thoughts went on.but after our Pastor prayed and placed me with a lady of our church we walked outside as she was explaining to me she has never done this before so I said ok watch me and I`ll show you how its done as the first two young ladies I witnessed to received Christ, what a blessing from that point on my soul partner showed me,a man received Christ after that and another couple. What a lesson I learned that night on trusting God!

How big is God?

Job 22:12 (King James Version)

12Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Jer.32;27Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
I Look at these verses and have to repent for lack of faith. We have not because we ask not!

Grandmothers play an importand role in a childs life.

Timothy was led by Lois his grandmother and his mother Eunice who helped him grow in faith.

Timothy 1:5 (King James Version)

5When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

As a Grandmother I have to pray for wisdom and the power of God to make a difference in my grandchildren`s life it doesn`t stop after your child is grown.Anyone can be a Eunice and Lois if they are willing.Just because our children are all grown that shouldn`t make the responsibility of helping others not important!
I wonder if The dead boy found in Maine Camden who has a mom that has confessed to killing her little boy today dropping him off in the road making it look like it was not her fault only six years would still be with us if someone would of stepped forth and became the Eunice and Louis in the little boys life.We can`t do anything now about Camden but we can look around and save the ones that might be heading in the same direction. They have classes for everything in school today why can`t they have good classes on child rearing?

Camden Pierce Hughes and his mother, Julianne McCrery, has confessed to killing him today.

How many more children are victims?
Luke 17:2 King James Bible
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

2 Chronicles 35:22
Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him,but disguised himself, that he might fight with him,and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, .....
As I Was reading this I think about how a shepherd knows his sheep by name and also keeps the goats from the sheep
He numbers the flock
He waters the flock he feeds the flock.
Keeps the sheep in folds
A Pastor has the same job but
yet people will come to church tomorrow and even though they have ears they will not hear
God has placed Pastors in churches where it pleases him.

Marriage

Marriage from the King James Bible.
I love marriage it's the greatest thing in my life next to salvation something the world does not understand
• Genesis 1:26-28
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

• Genesis 2:18-24
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

• Proverbs 12:4
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

• Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

• Ecclesiastes 9:9
Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.

• Matthew 19:4-6
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

• Matthew 18:19-20
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

• Matthew 22:30
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

• Mark 10:6-9
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

• Romans 7:2
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

• 1 Corinthians 7:2-9
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

• 1 Corinthians 7:10-16
And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

• Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

• Colossians 3:18-19
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

• Hebrews 13:4-7
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

• 1 Peter 3:1-2
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

• 1 Peter 3:7
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

The Easter story in the bible

For all of you who want the Easter story in the bible to place on your table as you get ready to go to church to feel good for Easter here it is.Sorry kids there is no Easter bunny in this story.
Matthew 28:1-10 (King James Version)

Matthew 28
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Faithful

I am not much but I can give God
What he has given me
I can be a faithful servant and do more than a person having alot of talents and not investing what God has given He gave that we may give and died that we may live.
When I have issues with my health and serve others I forget that I have health problems.
When Jesus died on the cross for our sins he wad not thinking of himself
I wonder why so many people can show up for church picnics and banquets and prayer breakfast why is it they cant have the same zeal for soulwinning

Numbers 12:7
My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
1 Samuel 22:14
Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

2 Samuel 20:19
I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?

2 Kings 22:7
Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
2 Chronicles 19:9
And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
2 Chronicles 31:12
And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.
2 Chronicles 34:12
And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and other of the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.
Nehemiah 7:2
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
Nehemiah 9:8
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:

Prov.16:20
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy [is] he.

After training seven children I have heard them many times complain about rules in school and church.I have heard several times they would complain about their sunday school teacher youth leader and Pastor tell them what to do.I have watched through their body language and their countenance the bitterness it caused which spreads.
When we have rules in a home the buggest problem is the child plays the parents the only way I found works is it does not matter what I say if the father says no he over rules.A child must understand if he does well than things will go well with him.I can get further with telling my child you are not wearing those pants or dress if I take them shopping and tell them lets find something we both like. Its a very hard long job to rear children but God does not make mistakes if he didnt want us as parents he would of done differently like he did with the nine children I carried in the womb and he took to heaven AND GAVE US SEVEN TO TRAIN not the schools or church.Sometimes a woman cant bare children and can be a supplement to others.
If I have to send my children to school and they don`t enforce the rules than they don`1t have rules.I would rather see a few rules enforced than have a whole book of rules that are not enforced.I have heard my child say so many times its ok Mom they don`t enforce it.I have to remind my child on who has the final authority.
The child must know the motive for our rules.God has given the parents the responsibility of training our children any one else is a mere suplement and not a subsitute we live in a society today that believes adults are over children in authority where the truth is parents are not doing their job they try to pass it over to childcares, schools, youth directors churches and others.
We have training courses for everything today except for good parental teaching. If a parent needs advise the parent can ask through council but for someone else to step forward and take the parents place causes rebellion in a child.
A Home or school that has rules and doesn`t handle them properly will destoy the home.
The parents are to do their part at home so the schools will be run properly.
When a child is sent to school and parents think its their job now to train them will cause the child to be a vagabond and a curse in the end.

I love my children that God has entrusted to me what better gift can a Mom ask for. They are all special if I can train them to love God and pass it on to the next generation than I feel like I have accomplished my goal,No greater joy than to know you children walk in truth my son Dan was visited by his Pastor Sunday It was such a joy to see him holding his daughter in church no man can rob me of such joy!

Faith

I don’t understand how a man can love God and not do the things he says there is always excuses why a person can’t make it to church if we are looking to a reason and not looking toward Christ our enemy the devil will assist us.I Don't understand how a person can trust Christ with their soul but when it comes to finances they are not Living within Our Means cable tv computers two cars cell phones the list goes on if we have to rob God to have luxury or wants not needs we wont be good Stewart's or child bearing they have it under their own control they don't need God if we get out numbered by the worldly unbelievers we have no one to blame but our self,.while we watch the unsaved multiply and replenish the earth.
God`s people say they can`t afford it they should say they can`t afford not to.The Duggar family has 20 children they don`t look like they are starving,it looks like they trusted God.We should be able to have clothes and food and be content.

James 2:14
14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
1 Thessalonians 5:17
17Pray without ceasing.
1 John 3:21
21Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
Psalm 5:11
11But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
Psalm 34:8
8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him
Psalm 64:10
10The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
Psalm 118:8It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Isa.26;3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Jer.17 7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
1 6But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Tim.;68And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Ps.143; 8Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
10Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Heb.11 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
