As I Was reading my bible (KJV MY Favorite) book this beautiful morning that God hath made I see this mistakes David made was passed down the generations What a sad thing when we don't look up to our elders and see their experience and wisdom.
And God is so patient giving Salomon two chances to do right.

One of my biggest fear is that one of my children would want to date or marry an unsaved person that would turn their heart away from God and church.
I know in some rare cases an unbeliever can get saved but that is not the point we are to do what God wants and that is 2 cor.6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
Also it hurts others that know the two.Its a selfish decision to date who ever we want to.God gave us an instruction manual not just a book to give instructions for fire insurance and have new life assurance.

1 kings 11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.
11:3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
My hope and prayer is this morning that my children will never get yoked together with an unbeliever and if its too late I pray that if the unbeliever wants to depart let him or her otherwise I pray that the person will get saved for the sakes of the next generation.

1 kings 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
